Custom - Semi Custom Terminology

Custom-made light fixtures are a joint effort between the customer and the manufacturer to create a unique product for a specific condition from the ground up. The customer will provide the idea and concept, while the manufacturer supplies the know how, drafting development and fabrication.

Customer is encouraged to be as specific as possible in their requirements and vision of the final product, including style, size, material, lamping and finishes. Specially produced, scaled manufacturing drawings with details as well as finishes and material samples are submitted for customer review and approval prior to manufacturing.

Semi-custom or customize are terms used for limited modification of an "existing light fixture" economically and quickly without drawing approvals. Perimeters of alterations are: metal and diffuser finishes, fabric shades, lamping configurations, replacement of decorative hardware and adjustment of overall height as applicable.
