The Beauty of Manufacturing Custom Lighting in the USA: A Case Study

We’ve been very proudly manufacturing Custom Lighting in Los Angeles, California since 1984. On this 4-decade journey of lighting up the world, we’ve seen the good, the bad, the ugly… and the meaningful and fulfilling. What we do is MORE than just engineering and manufacturing your designs — we are part of a community beautifying the world in a special way. Here are some of the things we have learned:

  1. Local Matters to Everyone: Being a local manufacturer matters to everyone in a unique way, and for more reasons than we could have imagined.

  2. Connection to our Work: We are emotionally connected to our projects. Every fixture is brought to life right before our eyes — not in a factor far far away. Passion is felt, in our factory.

  3. Connection to our Clients: We thrive on being highly accessible to our clients throughout the country, whether by phone, email, or factory visits. Our door is always open, no questions are off-the-table, and our personal connections are really what light up our lives.

  4. Scope of Work: From small renovations, to 7-figure Resort projects, we are perfectly situated to tailor our abilities to the scope of project needed. No project too big or too small, to simple or too wild!

  5. Value of Service: Professional designers, purchasers, and ownership groups see the value in our local service, product and ethos — and are always open to investing a bit more, for what we offer them through service, lead time, and care.

  6. Sustaining Local Family Businesses: Manufacturing in Los Angeles means we have amazing, decades long relationships with our vendors, who are often intergenerational, family owned companies. We help keep them in business to sustain their families, and they give us great pricing and dibs on the materials we need.

  7. Environment: We have a minimal carbon impact, since we don’t manufacture abroad. We operate under strict AQMD (California Air Quality Management) regulations, and source materials as locally as possible.

  8. Community: We get to be part of an amazing community keeping the American Manufacturing industry alive and thriving. We love helping write this chapter of history, and hope you’ll join us!
